As an idea for a mini-camp.
I have an idea for an open-ended story, and I was looking for you guys to stretch it and tell me what else I need to do to it in order for it to be a working
SL mini camp.
As you may or may not have noticed from my char's CD thread, I have "created" a surviving remnant of Dathomiri.
This group, led by Nightsister Raisa Kaleen, is made up of majoritively dark side FU's, the destruction of their home planet evoking a massive rift of pain
and suffering within the survivors, those who were off-planet on that fateful day. Kaleen has used their pain to her advantage, making them nightsister
initiates and starting to grow her own terrorist cell, one that is dedicated to bringing down the Empire and putting to painful death those responsible for the
destruction of Dathomir. This group is calling themselves "Allya's Tears" (cheesey at the moment, will probably change later) and is based,
although unknown to the rest of the galaxy, on one of the larger asteroids from the destroyed planet.
Using the minerals floating around in space, Tears have begun to sell bits of their very homeworld in order to fund and expand their army and to publish
propaganda against the Empire.
This having gone on for about a year, Tears recruiting various sympathisers, bounty hunters and assassins to swell the ranks of their vengeful nightsisters.
Now the CSA have, naturally, looked at the floating pieces of Dathomir as veritable goldmine, and have used their considerable legal weight to attain the
rights to mine the asteroid field.
Whilst seeing selling ore from their dead homeworld a distasteful necessety to her cause, Kaleen views the CSA's move as sacriledge and orders the
destruction of all Corporate mining equipment and personel.
Concurrent to the conflict erupting in what once was Dathomir, Tears have also got in contact with agents of the Rebel Alliance, realising that they are two
powerbases with the same goals. Despite this, the RA's code doesn't allow for any kind of alliance with dark side users. Nevertheless, some of the more
liberal members of Tears are still emploring Rebel assistance with various "operations" Tears are due to be undertaking on major Imperial worlds.
Across the stars, despite Kaleen's best force cloaking efforts, Tears's existance has not gone unnoticed by the Sith. Recognising undying hatred and a
malice in the hearts of Kaleen and her brethren (or should I say majoritively sistren...whatever) some of the more powerful Sith lords have endeavoured to
investigate this little dark side cult, wondering if it is a tool to be manipulated in their own goals, or a threat to be destroyed.
A BSP captain in command of a small fleet recieves a private transmission whilst aboard his vessel. It is from an anonymous user, offering an incredible amount
of money if various BSP vessels will agree to a privateering contract on Empire holdings and assets. The captain is left in wonder of exactly how such a
substantial amount of monetary assets can be offered by anyone other than the CSA.
Meanwhile, a young female merchant walks into High Port, floating above Imperial-owned Muunilinst. Besides a nervous look and dark burning eyes, she carries a
briefcase...loaded to the brim with high explosives.
The rewards would not be very conventional. If the CSA wins their conflict with Tears on their homeground, they would receive a certain amount of credits and
of course RU. Added to this would be a captured nightsister, available as an NPC, someone to try and bend to Corporate ways or an experiment to study.
The Empire's "rewards" are a bit preposterous, and I am willing to adapt them. It looks like the reward will be certain terrorist actions being
averted by the skills of certain Imperial agents (PCs) not much of a reward, but you guys feel free to fill this bit out for me.
The Sith stand to make either a valuable ally, or pet, depending on the PC's actions involved. Of course, they could play it the other way if the Sithies
feel threatened and try to destroy Tears. Rewards could be stolen nightsister equipment and FU artifacts.
Rewards for the Rebels would be, again, unconventional. Depending on what the rebel PC's in contact with Tears agree or disagree with, the Rebels could
have certain additional attacks coordinated against Empire worlds and holdings. Depending on how far the admins will let me or other people go with it, this
could mean Imperial fleets being stopped from reinforcing worlds in GW, and "free" raids in the spacelanes, at no risk to Rebel vessels.
Not to mention a couple of additional volatile NPCs for rebels to work with, or to try and tame.
Rewards for the BSP...well, any PC agreeing to the contract would stand to make credits, but of course I imagine Jay would have last say in who of his
commanders raids what.
So, as I say, I need some feedback. The rewards part especially.
What do you think? what needs hitting and bending to make this a workable minicamp?
Cheers in advance.
