The Empire has always made do with one or two members at a time. The Empire as a despotic government is ill suited to multiple individuals with multiple images of what the Empire should do and be.

Ironically the Rule of Two has always worked well in the Empire. Thrawn and Craggnosk were neighbours and for a very long time they supported each other as they took turns in Faction Leadership. Thrawn had several accounts back in the days when Ezboard would not allow for multiple sigs. One, such as Phantom (I think that was the sod's name), was a major player in Imperial Intelligence. An NPC mind you, but a key figure in his schemes.

While we have had my siesta so to speak and Laz had been on and off depending on his life being favourable or unfavourable, we have managed to (in my honest opinion), succeed the Thrawn/Craggnosk combo as a very stable force in the Empire. Naturally I post a bit more than he does but even then mine tends to be quite grandeoise and much of a headache for most players.

With my departure, this would change but Laz is perfectly capable of using NPCs (more so than I if you let me say so...), the Empire has never done well where the non FL members have been obeying the FL. The Faction needs one or two individuals with their plans and images of the faction and then after a few tries of confiding with the FL, willing to go the whole way and carve their image onto the faction until the FL puts a stop.

Laz and I are RL friends, funny enough Eryk is as well.

Also rest assured, just because Laz doesn't post, doesn't mean he cannot see. He sees much and does much in the SLIU. Where needed he posts, but if he has someone like me around he probably thinks its better to let me run loose for a while and leave him with more time for sorting out the SLIU business of "this month in the Galactic Wars"...
