Ic:
Ludo walked the frozen grounds of Ziost towards the new sith temple. He was shamed to hear that Korriban was all but completely destroyed in his absence, he had learned so much on, and from that planet. However, he could feel the dark energy surrounding this planet as soon as his firespray touched down. He had studied about this planet only briefly for there was little information on the sith holocron that mentioned the frozen rock. Stepping through the temple doors he was temporarily stopped by a guardian of the temple, who let him past almost instantly. You had to be given the coordinates to find this planet, but after what happened to the siths' previous home world, the security should have been tripled. He would mention that to the dark lord after he finished his training for the day.
He passed the corridors, using the dark side to guide him to his destination, the training grounds. He pushed the heavy doors open and gazed around the room that was three times the size of the previous temple's grounds. He removed his cloak, his armor, and his upper robes, leaving his scared muscular torso unprotected. His sabers hung on each side of his belt but he was not going to use them in this exercise. Bowing his head he allowed the dark side to flow through his body, instantly all his senses became more adept, he could feel everything in the room around him, even the small creature scurrying in the dark corner trying to find food. Consumed in the force, Ludo then reached into his pocket, pulled out his comlink and pressed a button, the comlink flashed red as if something had been activated. It had because after a few moments, two of the sith lord's Ig series assassin droids pushed through the heavy doors into the hall. These particular droids, he had upgraded himself, uploading several different types of martial arts and hand to hand combat techniques to each of their hard drives causing them to be even more dangerous then the standard IG series assassin droid. Each was armed from Kressh's personal armory; the first held two identical vibro blades, while the second stood holding a vibro axe.
He was known by many and prided himself on his skills with a light saber, but something had changed him returning from the unknown region. He could destroy both droid's in under a minute with his sabers, but that would be a waste he thought. Confident about the challenge he now faced, he could feel the dark side flowing like the blood in his veins. Everything around him felt like it was moving in slow motion, but he was moving at his normal pace confident at how heightened his senses had become, how they would guide him to victory. Every muscle in his body flexed, sneering at the would be assassin's through his silver hair. He could feel the force all around him as he stood, ready for them to attack at any moment, for he knew it would be only seconds away. The droids did not understand the force, he thought to himself. He had never really used droids, except for training and brief missions over the years.
Consumed by the force, Ludo controlled his breathing and heart rate; his goal was to use the force to keep his heart from going up more then two beats, from its resting rate. The droids didn't waste anytime on their simultaneous assault, both swinging their weapons for precise kill shots on the sith's body. With the force perfectly attuning his senses, Ludo moved swiftly, but with ease dodging each attackers deadly strike then countering with a scissor kick to each IG units' head. Concentrating on controlling his heart rate and body surprisingly did not interrupt Ludo's focus in the battle, if anything it contributed to it. Turning on his heel, he went on the offensive grabbing both wrists of the assassin droid holding the vibro blades. (I'll call him blades) his strength and speed was heightened and guided by the force as he did a backwards summersault, kicking upward into blade's mechanical cranium. Landing back on the ground, Kressh watched the droid fall back in slow motion it seemed, while the dark side his ally, warned him of the other droid's response to his actions. He dodged each swing of the axe, with calm and ease, for this new found control of his body and its functions gave him utmost confidence in his abilities.
He could feel that his heart rate had quickened a beat, however if he hadn't been in total serenity with the dark side his beats would have quickened twelve times it's resting rate, and his actions would be slightly more sluggish. Again he focused on his body and its movements, sending a roundhouse kick into the axe wielding droid's torso causing the chest plate to cave slightly. It was time to end this fight, for Ludo had other aspects of training to attend to. He unhooked each saber from his belt, thumbing each switch causing two loud hisses and two crimson blades to appear. He could see each droid's split second hesitation, although they didn't experience fear, they were intelligent enough to know how much damage a light saber could do if in the right hands. Still controlling every movement through the force, he slashed at both droids; blades was able to defend the first onslaught from the sith lord, the axe wielding droid however miscalculated the force user's movement and Kressh took advantage, the dark side guided his thrust slightly decapitating the IG unit. The smell of singed wires and metal lingered for only a moment, while Ludo focused his attention on his other opponent. He wasn't going to waste anytime, using the dark side to speed up his movements, he began to furiously strike blades. The droid began to lose ground immediately being pushed farther and farther back, until he only had about a meter of space between it and the wall. Ludo capitalized on this, slicing with both sabers at once, he cut a leg out from under the assassin droid, and while his other saber was blocked by both vibro blades. He had expected as much however, and the droid played right into his hand. It was as if everything moved in slow motion, the droids movements were two steps behind his own. He had to admit he was slightly amazed by his control of his movements and senses, not to mention the fact of the longer he stayed in this state, the easier it was becoming to harness it. The IG unit struggled to remain standing from this critical blow, the sith had to give it credit for it was doing a much better job doing so then a living being would have. His power guided him to his next move; he quickly and fiercely severed the droid's left appendage, leaving it almost defenseless. The onslaught of his attacks quickened his breathing slightly, but he felt anything but winded.
The droid was aware, of its pending doom, but being programmed to fight until it was destroyed, kept it from accepting defeat. It couldn't compute how the human had countered every attack the droid could muster, the only explanation was he saw the movements before they happened but the droid knew that was impossible, Even the top of the line assassin droids couldn't predict movements before they happened. The most curious thing about this human however was the fact that he attacked with such speed and strength, but didn't seem tired or winded at all. The human's face didn't even get the red flustered look that most humans' bodies caused when they exerted themselves. The android was also keeping record of the human's body heat, which had only risen from 98.6 to 98.9 degrees. Blades was forced to one logical system, it was all or nothing he raised the vibro blade and began to thrust it downward at its' opponent.
Ludo had expected it to try and finish him, the force guided his final movement; with a single thrust he amputated the droids final arm. Walking slowly over to this sparking and defenseless droid, he became aware of the fact that he had felt as though he had been sitting deep in meditation the whole battle. His palms and body were not perspiring what so ever, his hair was not matted from sweat, and his lungs, far from out of breath. He had achieved what he had set out to do, he was proud of his accomplishment as he sized up the remains of the assassin droid.
Instead of initiating the final blow however, he simply deactivated the droid. He didn't want to spend the next couple weeks doing massive repairs on each of the droids. Disengaging his sabers' and holstering them again, Ludo brushed his long silver hair out of his face while he checked his pulse with the other hand. His pulse had raised only two beats, and he was not perspiring what so ever. The force was a powerful tool, for he felt he could do the same exercise over again with the same result. His next exercise however would entail even greater concentration on his part . . .
After the assault was finished, Ludo sat and crossed his legs, dropping into a deep meditative state. He reached out using the force; he could feel the everyone's presence in the temple. From the young students, learning the code of the sith, to the dark lord himself; all having distinct signatures telling them apart. Closing his eyes, he allowed the force to once again consume his whole body. The scrap metal from the droids began to levitate around him as he concentrated on the dark side. The more it consumed him, the more the metal began to rise and twist breaking into smaller particles.
The more he focused, the farther he could grasp of the planet. Though there was little to no life outside of the temple, he could feel the few small creatures that inhabited it. Suddenly an image flashed into his mind, it was of himself, and some other person whose face was blurred. They were chasing something, he looked as though he had been in a fierce battle, for his robes were torn and his left arm sported a sling. Opening his eyes only briefly Ludo knew he had to concentrate for it was a preminnison of the future. He had only had a handful in his lifetime, but had learned to heed their warnings. Closing his eyes tightly again he focused on nothing but the dark side, small particles of rock and metal spun around his body so swiftly it looked as though he was being misted by some unseen force.
Thrown back into the premonition like a meteor falling into an atmosphere, he watched himself and the unknown companion run tirelessly, after what he did not know. Suddenly they both stopped dead in their tracks, Kressh reaching for one of his sabers as if he expected something to attack at any moment. Ludo couldn't make out exactly where he was but the tall skyscraper in front of him reminded him a great deal of Coruscant. He racked his brain for a moment, why would he be on Coruscant? That was a death wish for any sith these days, but as soon as the thought entered his mind, the image of him began to move forward.
The other sentient stayed behind however; Ludo couldn't hear the words they spoke to each other, he could only watch. He watched himself engage his crimson saber, as he drew closer to the front doors; his face came into to focus and he could see the look of pain and anguish in his facial structure, then a flash and all Ludo could see was his wife.
His mental chi was halted abruptly as the force seemed to leave his body completely. The rock and metal that had made a protective cocoon around him, dropped back to the ground as he came back into the present. He was disoriented for a few moments, his wife since his training had begun, and had always been one of his weak points. His former teacher and mentor had taught him to block this out, but she still was able to slip into his subconscious from time to time. Shacking his head, his long silver hair had matted from his perspiration. That premonition had slightly startled the sith lord, and he knew he saw events soon to come.
Cursing under his breath telling himself to get a grip, he resumed his meditation. This time however, no vision came he was very displeased with himself and cursed again before focusing on his ship and the goings on, on board. He could feel the J3po unit wattling around clumsily, getting ready to take an oil dip. Everything else on board his firespray was calm, no movement what so ever. He moved his thought onto the temple again; he now concentrated on a young boy sitting in his quarters reading from a holocron. Before the boy could get to the sith's code however, Ludo projected his thoughts into the boy's mind.
"Peace is a lie, there is only passion."
The boy jumped, startled looking around the room, finding no one there. Before he could muster a response, Ludo once again pushed his thoughts into the boy's mind.
"Through passion, I gain strength."
The boy spoke weakly.
"Wh…What?"
"Through strength, I gain power."
"Who are you? Wh.."
The sith lord cut him off.
Through power, I gain victory."
This time the boy didn't try and speak; he just sat cross-legged on the floor and looked up at the ceiling where the voice seemed to be coming from. Attentively waiting to learn.
"Through victory, my chains are broken. The force shall free me. Remember these words young apprentice and you shall become a powerful sith lord some day."
The boy shook his head appreciatively before Ludo broke the connection. He found that those willing to learn the dark side were more apt to if they thought they were learning from a long dead sith lord.
This time when he opened his eyes, the rock and metal shards came to rest on the ground softly. He felt more in control with his mind and body now, even though he was troubled by the vision he had experienced momentarily. He stood up and pondered it for a moment, it was a fate that was yet to come, but there was no use worrying about the future. It was best to keep his thoughts in the present, when this happened he would be slightly more prepared, but it was something that was going to happen, so why dwell on it.
The meditation had relaxed him quite drastically, which was good he would need every ounce of his strength for his next task.
