The first of the imperial fleet broke out of hyperspace, a wing of TIE defenders screeched into the system, once reported to have been under the influence of a
group that still by the view of the Galactic Empire no longer existed. Indeed, the first view of the system to the initial imperial craft was of an untouched
space, no signs of any of the craft that had been darkly hinted at to members of the fleet proper that may have been there. As the wing of fighter craft began
to arc nearer the planet, and the first of the far, far larger capital vessels began to also enter the system, the instruments of the imperial craft shot into
frantic life as they began to register new forms. Elsewhere, around the other side of the planet, ships also seemed to be exiting hyperspace. Yet these forms
were all too familiar to the sensors of the imperials, and almost immediately identified as craft belonging to splintering forces of what remained of the New
Republic.
Neither the forces they had been led to believe that they would deal with, and unsure of the ramifications that this splinter fleet meant for increasing imperial power in the sector as a whole, the lead vessel in the fleet soon sent a burst transmission to the rest of craft. After mere minutes of entering the system, the imperial forces had turned round and entered hyperspace. This appearance of the splinter fleet meant that straight forward strengthening of imperial power was not as straight forwards as hoped.
(OOC: All that merely to say; we withdraw from the system)
