I was wondering what the procedure is for just replying to another's intro post is? I assume it does not have to be your faction or even your PC that
interacts, but I'm a bit fuzzy on that. Can someone clear up the details a bit. I'd do a bit more if I could, even if its just to help out a bit.
Anyone can rp in them as long as they have a reason. Can use NPCs or anything. They be just open rps. Except fore a few things that are common courtesy. Like
not hijacking the rp to get a battle.
I appreciate the info, just wanted to make sure before I leaped in and inadvertently broke some rules. I don't assume Cyril might be involved due to his
highly prejudiced perspective, but I would not mind helping out otherwise. I'd only assume it would be as an NPC.
Intro threads are usually seen as opportunities for recruitment, but having said that, it's also a good way of meeting and helping out the newer players,
and showing them how we do things. It's bad manners but in to an ongoing thread for the soul purpose of trying to recruit the new player, but not actually
illegal. However, that's because the only times in the past it has been a problem the repeat offenders were asked to play nicely, and did so. If it became
a problem again I suppose I'd be forced to make some awkward rule to deal with it.
I do ask that people remember the main purpose of an intro thread is to intergrate the person in to SL and our style of RP, not your faction.
In the past they've turned in to really tacky free for all's where several members of the galaxies finest factions *just so happened* to all be in some
spaceport on some backwater planet. Please don't make intro threads lame and tacky, but other than that, feel free to join any you want!
