Recruitment Office, Imperial Centre (Coruscant)

The Golden Age of the Empire may have well passed away at the Battle of Endor over two decades before, however, the Empire was considerably on its way to recovery. The recent acquisition of a vast swathe of territory in the galactic south had eased ever so slightly the quota for recruitment in the Core Worlds, but that did not mean that the Imperial Warmachine was not wanting of men. The maintenance of a galaxy spanning Empire required the sacrafice of many able-bodied citizens, and the call for recruitment had never ceased since the Empire's founding.

It was one mildly busy recruitment office that had the duty to oversee all non-civilian sources of recruitment. Including mercenaries, former planetary defence or security personnel and of course, second and third generation military families. Recruits whose parents were of military background were all encouraged to apply to their parents' professions to continue the tradition, and in that regards, the military took care of its own very nicely. The requirements were easier to achieve for those who had family in the service and the training period was shorter. They also got first dibs at requesting assignments, second only to those whose connections involved either the Imperial Nobility, or personally recommended by a dignitary or a high ranked official in the Imperial Bureaucracy.

A young lieutenant looked up from the application form to have a good look at Doxya, as his left hand fiddled with a information console looking up his family, social and legal background. While not specifically bored, the lieutenant did seem to be quite used to his job, speaking little save the necessary questions as to the reasons and aspirations of the recruits-to-be.

"Mr. Yagami, your application has been approved and processed. Your request to be trained for the Starfighter corps has also been accepted by Naval Recruitment Command. I have been told to at this point, request you declare any previous experiences with starfighters, its maintenance or use, and general military backgrounds that may shorten your training period provided you pass written and simulation tests to cover those subject matters."
