Vladimir had finally gotten the answer that he was demanding for months. Why did the Shadow Order not send escorts for his ore supply line anymore? It turned out that an officer had pulled the ships that were assigned to him. He was told that the Order had reason to believe that there was to be an assault attempt made on the Order, and they needed all of the ships that they could get to patrol vectors that were closer to home.
So, it was only lonely Vladimir in his YT-2000. There were also the RX pilot droids at the helm of the Action V Transports, but they were not much company.

As usual, the transports successfully and safely touched down in the mining facility's docking bay. And as usual, an army or engineers and labor droids flooded through service doors to check for bugs, signs of sabotage, perform maintenance, and top off the fuel tanks. However, the Shadow Adept thought to do something different. He refueled his personal craft, but did not stay in the hangar. He stayed at the controls, lifted off, and traced a patrol grid around the ore extracting facility. This way, Achlohr could be more certain of the positions of potential ambushes. He flew around the dusty, out-of-the-way planet for many hours, stopping only to return to the hangar for fuel.
Finally, both of the transports were stuffed full of precious ore. The only thing Vladimir could do now was fly alongside his ships and do his best to make sure that for once, the whole convoy makes it to the ore storage facility.
