OOC: This post contains training for the Force power 'Battery Scramble' (FU Level 5).

Eryk did not frequent cantinas and bars very often. Not because of a dislike for alcohol, but simply because he was generally too busy with other matters. The
life of a Jedi left very little free time and the free time Eryk did have was taken up with personal study, the training of both himself and others or with
commune with the other Jedi. When Eryk did find himself in a cantina, it was normally for business rather than pleasure. The cantina was a perfect place to
gather information, as well as meeting informants and contacts in private whilst still being in a public area.
Eryk currently found himself on Tatooine, in some odd looking cantina, more at home to criminals, pirates, bounty hunters and rouges than to ordinary law-abiding citizens. Eryk had come to Tatooine in order to chase up some old artifacts he had hoped to add to the Jedi archives, but the trail had gone cold and he would have to try elsewhere. Before leaving he had decided to relax for a few moments in a local cantina to clear and relax his mind. Eryk could not describe why he had entered the cantina in the first place; it had almost been as if he was drawn here for some reason. Eryk gave it no further thought; things had a habit of happening around him anyway. He had ordered a pleasant tasting drink from a young waitress and then sat in the corner, out of the way. He raised the hood of his Jedi robes and masked his Force signature in order to make sure he was not recognised and unnecessarily hassled or harassed. He wasn't looking for any trouble.
With the Force within himself masked, Eryk's own Force power was dampened. His ability to sense things in the Force were therefore much weaker than normal, however, he could still feel very basic emotions from people. He was sensing one right now; anger. In the corner of his eye, at the bar, Eryk could see two men arguing with each other. From what he could tell, one of the men was extremely drunk. Eryk did not know what they were arguing about, and he didn't much care. It was not for him to get involved, however, something troubled him. In the drunken man's hand was a blaster pistol. The man was agitated, clearly violent. Eryk could sense the man's mind was clouded by darek thoughts. If his temper grew the man might become inclined to use the blaster on innocent people. Eryk knew he had to step in and warn the man of his actions, but doing so could spark off violence, besides, Eryk had no plan to reveal himself to the bar's inhabitants, no doubt many of them wouldn't be too friendly towards Jedi and other people who stood against crime and violence. Such a predicament, however, Eryk did have another option, one which would allow him to remain hidden and discreet. He would remove any chances for the violent man to be able to cause harm to others, mainly by relieving him of his weapon. More precisely, Eryk would make sure the drunken guy wouldn't be able to use the blaster in his hand, at least not until he was sober enough to think more clearly.
The Force was a mysterious thing. Eryk had mastered it enough to be able to alter and manipulate it in many ways. One of these ways could be seen through Eryk's ability to dissipate energy from enemy blaster fire. Eryk now needed to take that skill one step further. It seemed entirely possible to drain the power from the cell of the blaster pistol, rendering it useless. Gathering as much of the Force remaining to him as he could inside his body, despite the Force mask, Eryk began to draw the Force towards his right hand. Using his bloodstream as the conduit for the flow of the Force, and linking with the Force at a subconscious level to remove any physical and mental barriers which could impede the natural flow of energy, the Force slowly began to collect in his hand. The abundance of light side energy made his skin tingle as he could feel the strong power it held.
Eryk now turned his attention back to the drunken man at the bar and the weapon which was still in the guy's hand. The man had yet to calm himself down, and was continuing to wave the blaster in the faces of others whilst shouting obscenities. Eryk reached out with the Force, sensing all around him. The flood of emotions from the entire cantina hit him hard. Eryk then began to focus his senses on the man, blocking out all the unnecessary feelings, but still being aware of them incase they suddenly became of importance. Eryk sensed the drunken man's heart beat fast in his ribcage as the anger swelled inside him. As Eryk focused on the man's blaster he could sense the compacted energy inside the energy cell. The power pack didn't seem to be one hundred percent charged, but it would be enough to fire off a good few rounds of blaster fire. As Eryk concentrated on the power cell he could feel the energy inside it, pulsating away as it lay dormant, ready to be stimulated and converted into ammo for the weapon. However, as it was now, Eryk could not dissipate the energy from the cell; he would first need to imbue the power cell with the Force in order to have more control over it.
With the light side of the Force in abundance in his right hand Eryk allowed the pores in his skin to widen ever so slightly. Doing this allowed the Force to begin seeping slowly and controllably from his hand, into the air. Altering the Force's movements Eryk directed the flow towards the drunken man's blaster. Remaining perfectly still and hidden at his table in the corner of the room Eryk began to covertly imbue the blaster's power cell with his own Force energy. Eryk could feel the power in the cell strongly now, pulsating wildly with untapped vigor. Taking control of the light side energy Eryk began to draw the power from the cell into the Force, dissipating its energy into nothingness and draining the blaster of its power. Eryk pulled the energy bit by bit from the cell until nothing was left, then released the energy into the air where it could do no harm. Drained of its power the blaster's power cell stopped pulsating with energy and fell silent. The man continued to wave the blaster around, still under the influence of anger. Eryk's eyes darted around the room, making sure no one had noticed his movement of the Force. Satisfied he had not been seen Eryk allowed the light side energy he had used to dissipate the cell's power to itself scatter in the air.
Eryk stood up from the table and made for the exit. He had spent enough time here, it was time to leave.
