The code
Every Blue Star Pirate shall obey civil Command in order, follow the code and obey the will of the Pirate Council in spirit at all times.
The Captain shall have one full share in all Prizes; the Mate, Engineer, commander and Gunner shall have one Share, as shall ordinary deck hands and all other crew. The Company coffers shall be filled with three quarters of all prizes.
If any Blue Star Pirate shall lose a Joint in time of an Engagement he shall have 40,000 cr, if a limb 80,000cr and as advanced replacement as the company can afford to the value of five shares.
All Blue Star Pirates are to keep their arms clean and in working order. Any Blue Star Pirate that does not shall be cut off from his Share, and suffer such other Punishment as the Captain and the Company think fit.
No minors or non-BSP personnel are to be allowed onboard without special licence from the Captain.
No Blue Star Pirate shall strike another while at service or on cruise. All disputes are to be settled on dry land using the protocols laid out in the code.
No Blue Star Pirate is to gamble or consume intoxicating substances while in service.
If any Blue Star Pirate shall offer to run away, sell knowledge of, or keep any Secret from the Company, he shall be marooned with Blaster and one week rations.
No Blue Star Pirate shall severely or mortally injure a civilian except in self-defence. Punishments for resisting a BSP action are decided as the Captain and company see fit. Police, security and military personnel of all kinds are not protected under the BSP code.
Surrendering prisoners are to be treated well at all times and afforded assistance and courtesy while in BSP custody. Any Blue Star Pirate that does attack humiliate or otherwise mistreat a prisoner under the protection of the code is to be cut off from his share and such other punishment as the captain and the Company see fit.
No Blue Star Pirate shall own, purchase or sell another being as a slave. The code requires all encountered slaves during a BSP action are to be granted freedom and afforded any assistance possible. Any Blue Star Pirate engaging in slavery is to be punished with death and Slavers are to be treated with no mercy.
The Pirate Council
The Blue Star Pirate Council is a meeting of the principle captains of the BSP. The Pirate Council is the ultimate decision making body of the BSP. A majority vote of the Pirate Council must be obeyed by all BSP members, and the decisions of the council are final. It is the responsibility of the Council and its members to enforce the code, to protect the BSP and its interests and to decide punishment for those who disobey the code.
Ranks
Every joining member begins at the rank of First Mate and duels in order to gain rank. Awards are given only if possible and sensible for the factions finances.

At any time the leader of the BSP can propose the awarding of a rank pip which is equivalent to a single duel in the rank system. This proposal must be passed by the BSP council to come into effect.
BSP members can also receive rank pips for roleplays which are of benefit to the BSP.
Ribbons
At any time any pirate of any rank may propose the giving of an award to a pirate either of higher or lower rank whom he feels has merited such an award for relevant actions and service. All pirates hold this right. Such an award must be approved by a majority vote of the pirate council.

Order of Merit: For very long standing loyalty and total committment to the Blue Star Pirates. Our highest service award.

The Blue Heart: for injury in BSP service:

The Iron Star: for bravery in battle:

The Silver Star: For superb bravery displaying willingness to sacrafice oneself for one's shipmates or the greater good of the faction. (This should rarely be awarded)

The Blue Star: Our highest award: very rarely awarded. For superb bravery exemplifying the spirit of the Blue Star Pirates and showing a willingness to self sacrafice for the faction and it's members. It is also customary to posthumously award any very high ranking and respected pirate with the Blue Star if they are killed in service.

Orders of Excellence:
Given for superb action above and beyond the call of duty in or out of combat.
Order of Asmeru: For excellence in service on the scale of significant importance to the factions short term goals or minor long term importance.
Order of Nejdiv: Excellence in service on the scale of very high importance to the faction or it's crucial short term goals.

Order of Ryustlore: Excellence in service on the scale of substantial long term benifit to the faction or massive contributions to very important short term goals.
