The Shadow Code

There is peace, yet there is passion.
Knowledge begets power.
There is action, yet there is sensibility.
Unity brings strength.
There is destruction, yet there is creation. A cycle of birth, death, and rebirth within the Force.
I am the hub of the wheel on which the Force turns.
I refused light. I rejected darkness.
I have felt the death of the Force. I have seen its glorious rebirth.
I make my own path through the shadows of the Force.
"We defend and attack, we hide and we go outright. We are balance. We cannot have one without the other, lest we sway too far. The Force isn't about "sides", it's about unity."
-Jacen Aarin Solo to Jaina Solo, Zasabi Ray, and later, to Vechlin Alltemi
Who are the Shadows?
The Shadow Order of Jedi exists as an independent faction that is of a neutral political orientation. The sole focus of this order is to embrace open minds within their ranks, and the purpose that they strive towards is to teach these initiates the ways of the subtle, yet omnipresent force. Unlike the ever growing ruthlessness of the Sith, or on another scale the overwhelming arrogance of the Jedi within the New Republic, the Shadow Order do not preach either Dark or Light, Yin or Yan and either or. Instead, they present each initiate with both sides of the force, offering both the Yin inspired Light side of the force, with its contemplation and overall passive assistance, and the more Yan inclined Dark side of the force, meeting problematic situations with passion and aggression. In doing so, they believe this offers promising adepts a more balanced view of the force.
Though the Shadows of today follow the ideal of balance in the force, the known Shadows of the Order itself have yet to realize and master the concept, though with hope, the leaders of today's time plan on bringing these principals to life once again, neglecting neither the light or dark sides of the force, bringing them together in unison as the more ancient Shadow Lords have taught.
What is the structure of the Order?
The Shadow faction has a hierarchical structure made up of the following tiers:
Shadow Patriarch
Prerequisites:Nomination.
The Shadow Order is lead by one person, the Patriarch. In the history of the faction the Patriarch has often been an elected Preacher from the Order, but in more recent times a new Patriarch is only ever appointed when the former Patriarch steps down.
Shadow Praetor
Prerequisites: Lightsaber;Understanding of the force; Appointed by Patriarch
Created to ensure the longevity of the order, they are enforcers of the Shadow way of life. In rank he/she is similar to the Patriarch and will carry out many of the same duties. Though not originally a rank of the Shadow Order, this role would support the actions of the Shadow Patriarch as second in command, carrying out his goals while having access to faction resources under the Patriarch's juresdiction.
Shadow Preachers
Perquisites:Lightsaber;Assertive to the order.
Shadow Preachers are masters of the force and lightsaber techniques. The sole purpose of their role is to provide help and support. They train the lesser ranks in basics and master techniques, and support the patriarch in leadership during war. They are considered the High Zealots of the order.
Shadow Acolytes
Prerequisites: Lightsaber or FU lvl 4+
Shadow Acolytes are the protectors and ambassadors of the Shadow Order. They are responsible for the defence of the faction against its enemies, and any other factor that would threaten to pierce their veil of secrecy. They are also urged to train the Shadow Initiates in basics whenever possible. Acolytes are expected to follow the guidance of their Shadow Preacher until they are ready to be ordained as a Preacher themselves.
Shadow Initiates
All new members of the Shadow Order of Jedi start at the level of initiate. Each Initiate is assigned a Shadow Assassin, Preacher, or Acolyte, who is responsible for their force and lightsaber training.
Soldier/Pilot Ranks (Non-FU)
These Ranks are considered a part of the full list of rankings.
