Tartoc walked quickly down the hallways of the Bulwark battleship Astronomican looking quickly out a viewport he spotted Corellia below looking like a
rare jewel. The modified R5 droid he had borrowed for the presentation beeped pathetically at him beeped patheticly at him as it continued getting further and
further behind him. Reaching the door he paused for a bit adjusting his uniform as the R5 finally caught up. He then purposefully entered, Already inside were
General Wedge Antilles, General Crix Madine, and Captain Judder Page. All were dressed in full uniforms and as he looked at them he noticed they looked a bit
older than their year, most likely due to the the pain these Galactic Civil Wars have caused. Advisor Ackbar sat near by he looked sick and weak but his
presence was still strong. Looking around the room he noticed that a number of the Rebels had not yet arrived. Speaking in a strong tone that filled the entire
room he said. "I will wait a few minutes and then present my proposals on the future actions, and goals of the Rebellion."
Captain Tartoc waited patiently as a few remaining stragglers entered, He had been hoping that there would have been more present such as Master Aiden, Master
Kenobi, or General Darkrose. However he was certain that the uprooting of the Rebel/Jedi base on Naboo had the Jedi very busy. The R5 unit whistled
impatiently, slowly with great dignity he began...
" As everyone is well aware we have lost Naboo." He waited a moment for the words to sink in then continued. " It was the best possible move our
beloved Queen Dio could have done, preventing what would have assuridely been a terrible bloodbath. We are now left with a difficult decision, and a difficult
path. While the New Republic has fallen there are a number of worlds that still hold we, it's remnant, in high regard. We could, if we so chose, declare
the Corellia system, with it's five habitable worlds and long glorious history our base of operations. I however would call this folly and call for the
removal of our fleets from the Corellian system and focus them in the Outer..."
An older human stood his uniform indicating that he was of the rank of General. " Are you really suggesting we leave the Corellian Sector
undefended?"
Tartoc shook his head and continued " Not at all, but as long as we keep the Army of Light and Defence Fleet Saratoga in this system we mock the Empire in
the Core which they, for all intents and purposes, are in control of. While I like most Rebels enjoy spitting in the face of the Empire it is only a matter of
time before the Empire and the Sith gather a force strong enough to shatter our fleet and then each of these worlds would be candidates for the Base Delta Zero
order. Instead I suggest we make our presence less pronounced. According to my records we have at the moment Four XJ X-wing Squardrons and one Mon Calamari
Light Cruiser that we could sign over to the Corellians as a Defense Fleet. While the Empire would be undoubtedly skeptical that the Fleet did not have Rebel
sympathies it would at least help to ease their fear of immendiate invasion. Additionally these ships need not be the Corellian Systems only defence, R5?"
The small astro droid trundled forward and used it's holoprojector to project the Corellian System, he then zoomed in on the twin worlds of Talus and
Tralus. From there the hologram focused further on a spot in betwen them. " Sentients all, I suggest the full repair of the Centerpoint Station."
The image of Ben Kenobi flickered in one of the chairs of the room. Kenobi was currently operating under Jedi business out in the edges of the Vergesso
Asteroid Belt along with his two Padawans and the Rebel operative, Mattin, and as such he couldn't come in person. But never the less he was present for
the most part. The blue embodiment of Kenobi sat quietly as he listened to Captain Tartoc. His argument thus far had been solid and Kenobi had for the most
part agreed with everything Tartoc had said, showing his acceptance of his friend's words with a nod.
Although Jedi involvment with the Rebellion was not looked highly upon by the Jedi Coalition, Kenobi saw it as foolish not to at least make a pressence
while they were welcome and at the most give advice on some situations. Kenobi had no intentions of jumping up and joining a Rebellion's movements, his
fight was over long ago, he had served his time and now he was simply trying to make the Galaxy a better place in his own way. They may still have the same
enemies but Kenobi's methods in dealing with the Empire had changed much over the years. And that was the way Kenobi was going to stay.
But then the motion came forth to recover and repair Centerpoint Station. The Station had been deactivated several times over the years and even
Kenobi's first campaign as an Alliance Admiral back in his day saw the Rebellion Navy to the doorstep of Centerpoint where the station was heavily damaged.
To his knowledge no one had attempted anything with it since. But now, suddenly Captain James Tartoc was trying his best to give strength to the Rebellion so
that it may survive. But this was where the ideals of the Jedi Knights and the Rebels conflicted.
The Jedi Master was not about to allow Centerpoint to be reactivated without his say. Even though he wasn't on the Council, he knew his word would at
least be taken under consideration whether or not they were heeded was a different story. Kenobi hated to speak out agianst a friend but when you had a
belief... you stuck to it.
The image of Kenobi stood from his chair and announced the gathering.
"Captain, do you mean to sugest that the Rebellion put to use a weapon of mass destruction? I understand it is for the protection of the Corellian
System but to use a tool of such caliber that the Rebellion has fought, bled and lost countless brave lives to put to an end... Do you think it is wise? Not
making the station active would leave alot of muscle off of the field but we would be holding strong to the methods and the morales that built the Rebellion.
Do you think Captain that we would have used Centerpoint, the Sun Crusher or one of the Death Stars back in our day?" Kenobi had refered to his own days
back in the Galactic Civil War, the same days that James Tartoc had shared before his accident right after the Battle of Hoth. "Forgive me my friend, I
understand your purpose and your intentions are true but the power is too corruptable and should not be wielded by any being of this Galaxy. The power to
destroy on such a magnitude is simply to great."
Before sitting down Master Kenobi added one last thing. "This is my say in the matter, but I have no weight on the Council nor the High Command of the
Rebellion. My words are advice only, I hope they help no matter which path you may chose at the conclusion of this meeting."
Ben Kenobi finished, bowed respectfully to the listeners around him and returned to his seat to await the continuation of the meeting. He knew Tartoc
wouldn't take it personally, so his mind at ease. He waited...
Captain Tartoc smiled as he listened and gave a slight bow. "Thank you Senior Jedi General Kenobi" he said using the old rankings system of the Grand
Army of the Republic " but to some extent you have just illustrated my point. The Centerpoint Station is a tool. A tool of great caliber as you
stated but a tool none the less. Any tool can be dangerous if misused, a hammer can be used to drive in a nail or drive in your neighbors skull, a knife can be
used to carve a table leg or to kill a friend. I realize this tool has been greivously misused in the past, I myself have sought to speak with the refugees of
Ithor and Belkadan before coming to this conclusion. I wish this tool to be used, not as aweapon of mass destruction but as a shield of
great defense. The Centerpoint Station can project an interdiction field of such great size that it can lock the Empire outside it's borders, effectively
sheilding the sector from harm. While the threat of misuse still exists I would like to inform those present that General Calrissian who helped lead the forces
of the Rebellion against the Second Death Star is in the running to be the first Prime Minister of the Corellian System. If I were to trust this device in the
hands of anyone I believe he would be the prudent choice." Tartoc paused for a moment taking a sip of water. "Before I continue on to where I believe
we as an organization must build our command center, I would like to open the floor briefly to closing comments, warnings, or arguments about the use or misuse
of the Centerpoint Station."
"I look forward to the day when the last Emperor is strangled with the entrails of the last Sith."

The R5 unit Capt. Tartoc had borrowed began squealing in a sarcastic/urgent manner.
"What?" He said confused then the memory snapped to mind. " Oh, I nearly forgot. Please play the hologram."
The R5 unit acitvated it's hologram emitter and an image of a Drall scientist appeared.
"Captain Tartoc" the hologram said "As per your request to search for additional techology left behind we have discovered this."
The hologram shifts for a moment revealing what appeared to be an enormous repulsor. "We have already begun speaking to others on the Five Brothers and
other identical devices have been found" The hologram cut off filling the room with silence.
"While I have stated that I would like to see the Centerpoint Station as the primary mode of defence, due to the high risk involved I would like to
propose these Repulsor Devices as an alternative. As you know Repulsorlift technology only works within a Gravity well limiting the devices effectiveness to in
system. Despite this these devices could easily destroy or remove virtually any threat to the system. From estimated projections this includes Imperial I and
II Class Star Destroyers and larger." taking a deep breath he continues. " This would still free our fleet from this system and allow us to to move
to a more secluded base of operations." Signalling the droid, R5 activates the holo projector showing two planets. "These are the former Rebel
Safeworlds of Bulwark and Stronghold. Both of which were essentially abandoned with the rise of the New Republic, an additional world has been found as well.
The coordinates were discovered by R2-D2 an astrodroid belonging to Luke Skywalker. This world known as Da Soocha and resides hidden in Hutt Space. I believe
this world along with Sanctuary and New Alderaan could serve as Refugee Worlds for species attacked and enslaved by the Empire. I like to note that I believe
Stronghold would be an excellent base of Operations for the Rebel Alliance.
"Excuse me" a tired but strong voice rang out. It was the voice of Advisor Ackbar. "May I speak."
"Of course" Tartoc adds with a small bow.
"Along with these worlds there is an additional Safeworld unknown to most of the Rebellion, It's coordinates were known only to Myself, Winter Celchu,
and Luke Skywalker." Ackbar caughs lightly but continues. " Anoth, as this world was known was used as a safe place for the Solo Children to reside
in the first few years of thier lives. I believe this place could be a safe place for our Rebellion to stay."
Tartoc nods " That most certainly should be taken into deep consideratrion" He says smiling. " Bulwark, Stronghold, and Anoth. All of these
world would be ideal locations, away from the eyes of the Empire and innocent civilians were we could gather our strength."
"I look forward to the day when the last Emperor is strangled with the entrails of the last Sith."
Captain James Tartoc A.K.A. Dragon
A lone figure stood at the back of the meeting room onboard the Astonomican. Eryk, dressed in his usual white hooded robe, remained silent as the Rebel
leaders, all honourable men, discussed plans about moving the Rebellion forward. Though the Jedi were not tied down by any political obligations, Eryk had
always kept himself in touch with the rebellion movement, keeping an eye on its progress and supplying it with advice and information when necessary. Having
heard the information proposed Eryk believed it best to make his position on the matter clear.
As discussion quietened, Eryk slowly stepped forward into the light of the room. The heads of rebel leaders such as Madine and Antilles turned to face him as
he removed his hood.
"Master Aiden, do you have something you wish to bring to this discussion?" asked Advisor Ackbar.
Eryk's eyes scanned the room before settling on Captain Tartoc.
"Yes... I congratulate you all for what I have heard here today. It is clear that the rebellion is in very capable hands. However, I
must agree with Master Kenobi on the matter of Centerpoint station. No matter what your plan with the station is, even though we might use it with good
intentions, we run the risk of it falling into the wrong hands. Think what would happen if the worse case scenario occurs and we loose Corellia to the Empire;
all we achieve is handing them the possibility of a superweapon on a silver platter. It is not a stretch to imagine that if they capture the station that they
would immediately reinstate its weapons system and use it against us and against the rest of the galaxy. No matter how careful we are with it is still a huge
risk for a potential superweapon to exist. Do not forget that it was members of this very rebel leadership who once voted for the Sun Crusher to be disposed
of. We are all aware of the devastation it caused the galaxy. This is exactly the same. We can not risk Centerpoint station falling into enemy hands and we can
not risk the galaxy being under the threat of yet another superweapon, even if we claim it is not. The only viable course of action is to dismantle the station
completely, or better yet destroy it utterly. This is my view and my council, though as the leaders of this rebellion you have the final say in the
matter."
Eryk paused to let his opinion on Centerpoint set in before continuing.
"Please don't let my distaste for the proposal for Centerpoint make you feel that I am entirely negative to what you are
proposing. I believe that what you suggest about moving the main rebel cell to a less populated and more hidden planet in order to regroup and grow is a great
idea and I am all for it. What you say about Naboo is true; the rebellion can no longer hide there indefinitely without posing a risk to the general
population. However, I plan for the Jedi to remain on Naboo for the time being. We are at a better position to help others there."
Eryk scanned the room again, making sure his next words were heard by all.
"The Jedi have vowed to not become openly involved in galactic politics. We can not risk taking sides and being seen as warmongers
or stirrers of the peace. Our only aim is to protect innocent lives, not to fight wars. Despite this, our goal of a unified, diplomatic, galactic alliance of
planets resonates with yours and as such we offer our help with your struggle. What's more, it has come to my attention that behind the enemy you fight is
an agent of the dark side of the Force and as such we have a duty to investigate and put a stop to this problem. If moving the rebellion to Anoth or elsewhere
is this council's decision then the Jedi shall aid in this matter. However, I feel the more pressing issue is how to begin fighting back against this
enemy. We must act carefully as I feel they are aware of our presence. We can not risk open warfare, but perhaps there is another way. That, I leave up to you
gentlemen. Should you need assistance the Jedi are here to help."
Tartoc gave the Jedi Master a small bow. "Thank you Grand Master Aiden, your wisdom is greatly appreciated."
General Wedge Antillies stood. " Yes, thank you Grand Master Aiden, your commendation of the Captain is one that all of us share. While some of your ideas
are rather unorthodox and controvertial, all of your ideas are undeniably innovative and ingenious. Examining in particular your overall plans for the Rebel
safeworlds and the direction of the Rebellion itself we have found only one flaw."
A tightness filled Tartoc's chest and a lump entered his throat. " And what might that be General?"
General Crix Madine stood and interjected. " Your rank is too low for you to properly implement these plans yourself. Which is something we plan to
rectify. James Tartoc with great pleasure we of the Alliance Council do grant you the title of Battle Tactician and promote you to the rank of Admiral to
reflect the responsibility bestowed. Brigadier General Sahraliin please present the Admiral with the new symbols of his rank."
The young woman looking sharp in her carfully tailored uniform and her dark hair in an ornate braid down her back smiled brightly as she presented Tartoc with
his rank insignia. "I..I was not asking for this" he whispered to Sahraliin "This wasn't my intention."
Her dark eyes glittered and she said "Be grateful and be careful I'm sure this was not given on a silver platter." She gave him a peck on the
cheek. "Congratulations."
As if sensing her words Advisor Ackbar spoke " Admiral Tartoc please keep in mind that while we all believe you deserve this rank, it is only to be kept
as long as your performance meets the expectations we have for you."
"I will do my best sir." Tartoc said with a salute.
"Well then," General Antillies added "Let us present Admiral James Tartoc!"
Tartoc stood slightly uneasy as the crowd burst into applause, but he smiled anyway. He felt strong enought to take on the Empire himself, but he knew he was
not alone.
"I look forward to the day when the last Emperor is strangled with the entrails of the last Sith."
Captain James Tartoc A.K.A. Dragon
Eryk watched as Tartoc was granted the rank of Admiral; pleased that the Rebel Alliance seemed to be in good and capable hands.
"Congratulations Admiral Tartoc. I'm sure that you will be a good guiding force for this rebellion. With times such as they
are, action it seems must be taken swifty or else all is lost. I'm sure I speak for all of us here when I say that I am sure that you will do an fine job
and fufill the duties of your rank admirably."
With the rebellion in strong hands the future of democracy in the galaxy looked bright for a change. Now though, the matter of what course of action to take
would need to be discussed, and as always the Jedi would be there to give advice and aid.
