If I may add my two cents on the matter as I had a feeling this would happen after seeing Thorion post.
Firstly. I myself saw that Thorion was doing this for fun and entertainment and enjoyed the thread, it reminded me of a certain someone on YY that posted all those years ago...but I wont get into that. Either way it was different, interesting and kudos to Thorion for making me laugh. Whether or not this becomes something more is something I am waiting for. If this is some new plot line he wishes to go along with then it sounds fun.
Secondly. Since playing with Laz and Izzy for as long as I have, I have come to an understanding of some of their thinking. I can see both sides of why Laz/Izzy are mad but I can also see the reverse. This however is not an excuse for Izzy's comments onto the board. Personally I could care less as to the matter if it was said to myself however on a board such as this I can full understand your choice Jay and I respect that. However I ask that you also see the other side of the opinion. Laz and Izzy take great pride in what they do on Sithlore to an extent that very few I believe truly are able to appreciate. They try to keep plot lines going and put new plot lines in when things get rough and tumble and a dead spot comes long in the plot highway.
This in effect causes them to view things that may interfer with their plan in any way shape or form to be devensive. I will back Izzy and Lazyboy 100% in the fact that their concerns we not answered fully. I believe that Thorion should have come out and said 'this is just a fun roleplay and in no way is this actually happening at least right now.' Thorion I understand that you think that this should be something basic however after the responce of both Izzy and Lazy you should have said something like that and not beat around the bush. Thus, chain of events later, Izzy is banned and we are back to square one.
This post confirms a huge problem that in hindsight of the Empire shouldn't have happened. At least with the level of people on the board being so low. The destruction of the NR was a huge, dramatic and very altering aspect of the sith lore time line. This really made things interesting and I have been in deep talks with Izzy on the matter and both of us believe it should have been handled in a much different manner. As such the events of the Empire's newest plot line, the conquest of the galaxy in basic terms, is meant to inspire rebellion and spread the Empire's fighting forces out to set the stage for a new rebelion and hopefully a new republic. Though I would have much rather have spelled things out at a later date when things were more formalized within the Empire I believe now is the right time to say all of that.
No offense to the jedi but Eryk being basically the only NR person at this time leaves a huge boulder on his shoulders to get this whole webel movement started. I honestly don't believe it is something that someone should undertake alone. That is why within this current Empire thread my character will see the bloodshed and see the Empire for what it really is. At the end of the thread Titus Drake will be siding with the webels and hopefully helping to forge a new alliance to start slapping the Empire around. Though I find that my true fun comes from roleplaying within the Empire I feel that for the good of the board a shift from the Empire to the rebels will help it out immensely. In time I hopefully will be talking to the current members of the alliance to help make this happen.
I had hoped to have done this with my other character, Giddeon, and have a nice plot line involving the super capital ship. Thus giving a similar plot line to what the rebels had in the movies. There would be the typical big battle and the Empire would be weakened and thus allow the rebellion to turn into the new republic. However as situations would happen this was not allowed by Izzy and Lazy because they felt that the super capital was just toooo overpowering. Again this comes back to my point that both Lazy and Izzy try to keep the board even in their own wierd way and to help better sithlore. I do not blame them for wanting me to destroy the super capital in the least bit. They felt like they were doing it for the best of the board and thus I did my action against them to kick start this whole conquer the galaxy plot line. By sacraficing my character (be it a lot earlier then I wanted to) and throwing everything at the Imperial Palace on Coruscant (speaking of that, Lazy could you please post there? I would dearly love to see the aftermath of it) I thought it would be a nice start to a new rebellion. Which it has in all honesty because Izzy started this whole 'lets get a rebllion going' mind set and we are working on it and also why by the end of it my new character will be with the webels.
So in essence....
Thorion - Next time someone posts asking why you are doing this, please for the sake of arguement just be blunt and say what your general plans are. It doesnt have to be in great detail but a general 'im doing this for x reason and x will happen' is appreciated.
Izzy - I understand your frustration to the matter and as always I back your opinions concerning the Empire and the well being of it. However I cannot say I agree with the comment that got you banned.
Jay - I respect how you run Sithlore and by no means do I condone the actions of anyone that goes against what you want for the board. But I ask that you understand that yes, people do understand that it is a game however some people take it far more seriously then others. Its just like the football freak in the bar that has to yell right by your ear when you have a headache from a hangover the night before. Hes just having fun but his level of the game is far higher then yours. Lazy and Izzy both have high amounts of pride and honor in what they do within Sithlore.
But I think I should stop my rant while I'm far behind and sit back and listen some more
