This board is where most of the the new people post, I believe. I'm fairly new myself, but I'll try to help you out as much as possible. Most people make their first introductory post here, telling about their character and where their character would like to join. The available factions you can choose from are: The Rebel Alliance, The Galactic Empire, The Blue Star Pirates, The Sith Praexium, Corporate Sector Authority, and The Shadow Order. You're able to go freelance if you'd like as well.

I'd recommend reading the quickstart guide located here first:

The guide will tell you pretty much all you need to know for starting. If you need anything else, I'd be glad to help you out. Everyone here is very friendly, and they'll give you all kinds of help.
